Lantern Moon does have a replacement policy for their needles.
An employee of Lantern Moon left a comment on my broken needle post:
As someone who works for Lantern Moon I can assure you that we are sorry that your Sox Stix broke! We do have a guarantee on all products we sell. Feel free to call or email our office and we will replace your broken needles. Happy Knitting!!

So there you have it! And, since the person who usually handles these things is on vacation, he took my address and is sending my replacement. How’s that for customer service (and proof that you just never know who could be reading your blog)? :)
I decided to contact all the other needle manufacturers I could think of and find out what their replacement policies are as well. I can personally vouch for Brittany and Denise Interchangeables – I’ve received replacements for both of these numerous times. The others I haven’t used.
Brittany: Replacement Guarantee
Denise Interchangeables: Warranty Information
Addi: Lifetime Guarantee
Lion Brand:
Lion Brand stands behind its products. If a customer purchases yarn in a retail store and there are problems with the quality, she can return the labels and/or the receipt with the yarn to Att: Customer Satisfaction, Lion Brand Yarn Company, 34 W. 15th Street, NY NY. If the yarn was purchsed directly from Lion Brand’s website or catalog, it comes with an invoice with instructions about how to return it to the same address. Please let me know if you need any other information.

(I replied back to make sure that this policy covers needles and accessories as well as yarn, and they verified that this also applies to needles & other accessories.)
Blue Sky Alpacas:
We are certainly happy to replace any defective needles. We ask that the customer simply drop them into an envelope (minus the tin) and send them to us at:

Plymouth:
Our company policy on replacement needles is that the consumer should contact the yarn shop of purchase for complete satisfaction. However, if the consumer contacts us directly, we will make the exception and replace the needle directly to the consumer. I know this goes against our policy, but we have very few breakage complaints, so we feel it is better for the
consumer if we replace directly (then consumer resumes knitting their project faster).
KnitPicks:
We always say that if you have a problem with ANYTHING, to please call us [To speak with a live customer service operator, please call 1-800-574-1323 Monday through Friday 5:00 AM - 6:00 PM PT or Saturday 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT.] and we will get the problem resolved. So yes, we DO replace damaged needles.
Crystal Palace:
Send them an email at cpyinfo@straw.com, and they will replace your broken needles.
The only manufacturer I haven’t heard back from yet is Clover. If they do reply, I will update this post.
If anyone has other manufacturers they’d like me to research, please let me know in the comments, and I will add them to this list as well.
