Results of the dishcloth binge

by Natalie on 7/1/2008

My dishcloth binge is over. My dishcloth cotton is all knit up (that means I’m allowed to buy more when it’s on sale now, right?), and my wrist is starting to heal.

It wasn’t happy with my marathon-cotton-knitting.

I got 6 dishcloths out of the rest of my cotton:

Clockwise, from top left: Just plain garter stitch, garter & eyelets, Garterlac, and the Ballband pattern.

Then after all that, I had just a little of 3 other colors. So I went for the Ballband pattern again, and just knit until there was nothing left to knit!

Next up on the needles: a new sock pattern!

Dishcloth break!

by Natalie on 6/25/2008

Thanks for the comments about my glove!

But please, save your being impressed for when I actually finish the 2nd one. :) Hee hee.

In the mean time, I have no “must work on” projects.

So I’m taking a little dishcloth break!

I’ve knit 2 so far. I’m just going to knit them until I use up the rest of my cotton stash. There’s not too much left, just some partial balls here & there.

I’m starting with one and knitting until it’s gone, then picking up the next one. So these are going to end up being some funky colored cloths!

I just hope I have enough of one of the solid colors to make Kevin the Transformers Cloth. He’s going to love it.

Andrea is getting her shawl as her bridal shower gift.

But the groom needs something too, don’t you think?

Yep. Dishcloths.

Meow!

This is actually the wrong side, but I think the cat shows up better on the WS than on the RS.

I gave this one to Emily, since it’s a small cloth, and since she’s going to be a cat for Halloween!

Mid-September Dishcloth

I’m all caught up now!

Samantha, I would like to send this one to you for the blanket. It’s a little larger than 8X8 though…but I could wash it and it’d shrink up. What do you think?

Mid-August Dishcloth

by Natalie September 26, 2006 Crafting

This pattern takes too long for a dishcloth. Interesting effect, but too time-consuming. Only way I’d make it again is if I did it in just one color so there’s no switching.

September Dishcloth

by Natalie September 8, 2006 Crafting

I’m almost caught up on the monthly KAL now. Only 1 more to go!
I really like this pattern. I put up the Fall decorations around my house last weekend (3 weeks earlier than my “rule” of when to put them up, which is the first true day of Autumn) so that we’d be all festive [...]

August Dishcloth

by Natalie September 8, 2006 Crafting

It’s a lighthouse. Look! At the bottom row! I shifted it a stitch to the left. :)
I swear, is it even possible for me to knit a dishcloth without making a mistake?

Mid-July Dishcloth

by Natalie September 5, 2006 Crafting

I’ve knit this pattern before, and apparently with the same yarn!
I’m in a dishcloth phase this week. I will probably get all caught up on the Monthly Dishcloths. Then it’ll be back to the socks.

July Dishcloth: Samantha speaks!

by Natalie July 7, 2006 Crafting

Alas, it is SO taxing to sleep all day.
But, it gives my mommy time to do things like finish the July dishcloth!
A couple of little mistakes, but Mommy says, “It’s just a dishcloth!”
This one really stumped her, it was knit upside-down! It wasn’t until yesterday when she finished the tail that she realized it [...]
