I’ve already gotten a head start on one thing: I’ve got 3 bags of ice in the freezer! I just empty our icemaker every so often, and put it in plastic bags. That way we don’t have to buy ice.
It also keeps the ice from freezing into a solid block in our icemaker, and if the power goes out again, it’ll help keep the chest freezer cold (we had 2 or 3 bags in there when the power went out, and it really helped).
