My strawberry plants, which are everbearers or day neutral berries, and which aren’t supposed to generate (many) runners to reproduce, are runnin’ like crazy!

They’re also still producing strawberries (although slower than before, not that they were ever overbearing by any means!). However, after 3 months, some birds or other critter have been finding them and taking nibbles.
I want to move them this Fall, over to the side of the patio, next to the forsythia bush. They’ll be easier to keep pests away (covering if needed), easier to protect this winter, and I think they’ll like to have their own little patch away from any other veggies. Then if they want to run again, they will have their own space to do it in too!
And…I need their spots in the garden for vegetables next spring.
