Almost had a little oven issue. I turned on the basement oven to warm up, and when I took 2 of the birds down to put in, it wasn’t hot at all! It wasn’t working.
Oh well, I figured I had plenty of time to do the turkeys in 2 rotations in the upstairs oven.
I called my mom to tell her she now had more ovens than me (I used to have 3 until I broke one, she had one, then they remodeled and she has 2, and I thought I was down to 1). She told me to check the timer, she had a problem once where the timer was set funny and her oven wouldn’t work. Sure enough, that was the problem! I turned the timer to the setting it was supposed to be on, and the oven then turned on.
So my turkeys are roasting at the same time.
I decided to go with melted butter instead of just softened this time. It’s just easier to get on the birds! Sprinkled with salt & pepper.
I can already smell them…or maybe it’s just the onion smell that won’t wash off my hands. :)
