I didn’t do Challenge #3. I was sort of busy with that whole having a baby thing. :)
Challenge #4 is to show what your lace could be used for if you bound it off right now where it is.
I have finished the first lattice section, and have moved into the main pattern. I’ve completed 2 repeats.

But what could I use it for at this point?
This is a definite challenge. If I had less completed, I think it’d be easier. But LL is rather squarish now, not too big, but not too small. It makes the creative options much more difficult to find.
But I think I found the perfect use.
Some people hang flags on their homes for the holidays/seasons. Some hang flags to let everyone know which sports teams or colleges they support. Many more hang up the good ol’ Red, White, and Blue. Which is what we used to have on our house, until a big wind blew it down last year (and we never got around to fixing the pole/anchor so it could be put back up).
But I have a new flag now. It lets all the neighbors know that a “crazy knitblogger lives here.”

By the way, I took my lace OUT IN THE RAIN to get this photo. Perhaps that should have counted for my “Extreme” entry for Challenge #2?

Perfect as a flag, and quite pretty. I can’t remember, what pattern is it?
Beautiful lace! When I saw the bottom photo, before I read the text, I wondered if you were raising the white flag to surrender… to the rain!?
Great flag! Your lace is beautiful. :)
Is it big enough for a baby blanket?
Good one!! I love your knitblogger flag — an excellent interpretation of the challenge. :-)
Great idea! And very brave, indeed, to take her out in the rain. That definitely qualifies for extreme knitting :)
What a great use for the lace! :)
Oh my gosh. LOL….what a great idea. I live in an area where everybody has flags on their house but us. That’s terrific.
Love the flag!
Great photo — and in the rain even!!! Best of luck in the challenge :-)
Lovely entry! Lovely lace!
