Socks

So, it’s day 3 and I already didn’t know what to post about today! Poor planning on my part.

I’ve been thinking about it all day and I decided that I need to start a pair of socks. I do have one pair already in progress. Sort of. That’s the Vintage socks, and I’m working on the leaves. It takes me most of an evening (I really only have 2 hours to knit before bed) to do 1 leaf. And I have something like 32 more to knit. They’re not inspiring me much!

And I’ve been thinking that I need something to just have around…to knit on at work (during conference calls), and those little bits of time here & there when I just need something to keep me occupied.

This morning, Emily asked me how many pairs of knit socks I have. I told her “Not enough!”

So I’m going to cast on a new pair tonight.

The question is…

Which yarn?

I’m leaning towards the stripey red/black Patons. But I do have that nice greenish gray from A Piece of Vermont that might match the sweater I’m wearing today. But a solid yarn would mean I’d have to find a pattern. And I don’t have one ready to go (it takes me days or weeks to pick a pattern!).

I’m realizing that I don’t have all of my yarn up on my stash page on Ravelry. That’s not helpful! I will have to have a date with my stash soon. More like a date with the craft room – that place is a disaster right now! Must be cleaned up before Thanksgiving so my mom & dad can sleep in there. :)

Anyway. Red/Black Patons it is. Needles ho*!

Little reference to last night’s Big Bang Theory. :)
