I’m originally from Indianapolis. Although I have never personally been to the Indianapolis 500 (my family has a big party every year on Race Day, and we watch/listen to the race), I know that, at least in the past, there would be guys there who would have signs that read, or yell out:
to the women there. I’m sure this occurs in other settings, probably Mardi Gras in New Orleans for one.
I know at this point, you’re wondering why I’m mentioning this in a knitting blog?
Kris and I were just talking about Stephanie’s blog post today, where she gives us a preview of her shopping trip at Baadeck Yarns.
I said, “That’s a lot of yarn!”
Kris replied, “Yes it is. I await that post eagerly, when she actually shows us all of her yarn .”
Which made me think that there could be knitters/spinners/crocheters at a sheep & wool festival holding up a sign that reads:
If you see one sometime, I swear, it’s not me!
Edited to add: Marla has noted that “Show Us Your Knits!” may be the better phrase! :)
