Next up: Socks

I drew Kevin’s aunt in his family’s Christmas gift exchange, and I’m thinking I’ll knit her a pair of socks. I’m going to use Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in “Cool.” It’s variegated blues.

The pattern is of course the challenge. It can’t be too intricate due to the color variation, but I don’t want to do plain stockinette because of how LL is known for it’s pooling.

I don’t have a problem with pooling, but a pattern to break it up some is nice.

I looked through my Nancy Bush books (Knitting on the Road and Knitting Vintage Socks), and nothing jumped out.

Tomorrow I’ll flip through all of my IKs and look for something. I thought of the Go With the Flow socks, but I want to knit myself a pair of those, so I don’t want to burn myself out on them.

Surely there is something in IK!
