National De-Lurking Week

in Crafting,Knitting

I’ve seen a few other knitbloggers mention this, and, well, I’m bored at work right now waiting for someone to send me something, so:

In honor of National De-Lurking Week, de-lurk and comment if you’re out there!

It doesn’t even have to be a comment of substance. In fact, let’s see how creative you all can be!

Will there be a prize? Who knows. All I know is that I won’t be sharing my eyedrops with anyone. Oh no, those are ALL MINE. Yes, this knitter/blogger has screwed up her eye again. This time, she gave herself pinkeye in the bad eye. It’s a laugh a minute over here, it is.

I guess if you’ve only been reading a blog for one day, and haven’t commented yet, you really aren’t a lurker.
Whatever. That’s my de-lurking comment.

You know I can’t remember if I’ve ever commented on your blog or not. I do typically comment on blogs I read on a regular basis, but sometimes it takes me a while once I start reading to comment.

Anyway, hello, I’m Rebekah and I’m a knit-o-holic. Seriously I have more yarn then a yarn store, and recently just found three more tubs of yarn I had completely forgotten about!

By the way, I love your blog header, it’s very relaxing to look at it. I can almost imagine I’m there.

Duh I just looked back, I have commented before. See how finicky my mind is. I think I need a vacation. Or at least to play with some yarn for a full day.

hello, not a lurker, just a fellow Ohian that says ‘hi’. Oh, and I hope you get better soon!

I’ve been reading for a few weeks and enjoy it! No creativity here — it’s too late in the day. But I’m waving — does that count?

I’m a perpetual lurker on many blogs — I love reading, I just always feel like whatever I’m thinking isn’t really important or interesting enough to actually take the time to type out (or to read). Pretty silly eh? Anyway, I’m making a conscious effort to de-lurk. ;)

Again!! How much can that eye take? Hope the eye feels better soon.

I’ve been lurking since late ’04. I don’t think I’ve ever posted.

Sorry you are having eye problems. I have been reading your blog for several months now. It was your catchy title that attracted my interest.

10 La January 12, 2006 at 8:06 pm

Hi! I’m not sure if I’ve ever posted or not but I’m one of your many bloglines subscribers… I love seeing what other Ohio knitters are up to but always feel strange about commenting…

14 Kris January 13, 2006 at 8:43 am

Hello. I’m not sure if I’ve left a comment before but if not…. I’m delurking. I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks and really enjoy it.

15 Stacey January 13, 2006 at 8:54 am

Hi. (de-lurking – check)

16 Amy January 13, 2006 at 10:48 am

I’m bad about leaving comments on knitblogs, so this is me de-lurking!

17 Rebecca January 13, 2006 at 12:29 pm

Hi, I read and lurk. I’m an Ohio knitter too, and I found you from seeing your comments on Pixiecrinkle on LJ/Witty Knits.

18 Shae January 13, 2006 at 2:46 pm

Another Ohio knitter (friend of Keli/Perpetual Blonde, followed her links here) delurking.

I have a hurt eye story. Once when I was making soap I splashed lye in my eye (because I am a stupidhead that didn’t wear her safety goggles).

I had to call an ambulance and spend hours in the ER getting my eye flushed out and then visit the opthamoligist every day for two weeks to make sure the chemical burn didn’t cause a pressure build up of fluid inside my eye. Apparently only contact prevented me from blinding myself in that eye. And now I can’t wear contacts at all.

(Okay, it wasn’t a creative delurk but it was icky!)

I only just started reading you too!

20 NessieNoodle January 13, 2006 at 4:11 pm

lurking, who’s lurking? Not me. I am happily thinking about my 3 day weekend and enjoying the sun that is streaming into the office window- Just lovely here today-
I enjoy your blog and the fact that you put together that nifty little list of KALs Thanks~

21 Nyxxie January 13, 2006 at 4:33 pm

I have been a lurker on your site for a while now. Just thought I would say “hi” and hope your eye gets better pink eye is no fun!

22 Samantha January 14, 2006 at 8:39 am

National De-Lurking Week, eh? Interesting.

23 Amanda Cathleen January 14, 2006 at 12:22 pm

so… do you think its possible to be somewhat of a lurker? I mean, I occasionally comment on different knit-blogs that I read daily. I swear children suck your brain cells out little by little!
I hope your eye gets better soon, pink eye sucks! : )

24 Kristin January 14, 2006 at 4:41 pm

I just started reading. And don’t want to be a lurker. Have a good weekend.

25 Laura January 15, 2006 at 1:49 pm

I’m a lurker.
I read blogs, then quietly slink off.
or something like that.
de-lurked: Hi, from a Cincy knitter! Hope the eye is better soon.

26 jessie January 15, 2006 at 10:48 pm

Thanks for the haiku! Hope your eye is better soon.

27 Karen January 17, 2006 at 9:16 am

Howdy! De-lurking over here too! I never realized how much I lurked until this past week! I need to work on that!:)
