If you can’t knit it, buy it: Part 2

I’ve been reading Ruth’s blog for a couple of years now, and always love her posts about how she comes up with the colorways she dyes. For awhile, she was doing her dyeing all for herself. But she is now selling it! She takes most of her colorways from things she photographs in nature.

I splurged (or so I thought) on a skein of the Blackberry she recently dyed. It was just spot on, and I thought, “I don’t have any purple in my stash.” So there you go.

Bonus: she’s in Canada, which I didn’t realize, and with the exchange rate, the yarn was cheaper than I thought!

I will be buying more. I wonder what she’ll come up with next?

Oh, and she threw in the shawl pin she made for free! The jewelry she makes is so beautiful too.

Woot! Thanks! I just bought some too (except not blackberry as every kind of yarn that color was sold out). But I am happy with what I found!

Hi. What a beautiful color. I wish that I had the time to learn to knit. My grandmother used to crochet and made some beautiful things including a bedspread that I still have. It weighs like 20 lbs with all of the popcorn stitches.

Be careful with the whole canadian $ because the last time I checked their dollar was worth more than ours. I used to get my makeup there when I went through Montreal in dutyfree and the dollar rate was $1.60us to a Canadian dollar! Too bad for me it’s so good now.

Hapy stitching.
