Day 1

Today is the first “real” day of my Maternity Leave. Meaning I’m home alone with Samantha. Emily is at daycare, Kevin is at work. Samantha is sleeping.

I have 7 weeks left.

I’ve had big plans of what crafty things I can accomplish in these 7 weeks. Let’s see how much of it actually pans out!

Today though is probably a wash. First thing I did this morning was do some tidying up around the house. And I’m going to have to do more of that later, as Kevin has told me our friends are coming over to meet Samantha tonight.

And for the last hour I’ve been reading my huge backlog of blogs. I am down to 334 posts to read (from about 450). This may take all day! :) And watching “Must Love Dogs.”

Perhaps I will have one small crafty goal for today: to catch up on the July dishcloth. I’m on day 3–I haven’t figured out what it is yet (maybe a bird?).

I haven’t even started my July dishcloth yet. I have it all printed out and waiting for me to start. I just don’t have the ambition for it today.

Soooo … where are all these baby pictures we were promised. *lol*

Wow, I guess that’s the difference between the 1st and 2nd child… you’re making CRAFTY PLANS! That was certainly one of the things I did not have on my list when I was a new mom;-)

Make the most out of your leave time. (I know, spoken like a true payroll person, which I am)

Enjoy that time off and enjoy your ‘alone time’ with that beautiful baby.

Um…. Didn’t you just have a baby??!!?!? Natalie you are impressive with blogging, crafting, even cleaning the house! I’m busy enough with those without a child. :)
