Since my mom, my MIL, and Kevin’s Aunt were coming to the craft party, but with no crafts of their own, I suggested they Kool-Aid dye some sock yarn. Then I could knit it up into socks for them. At first they weren’t interested, but once I explained it a little more, they were all for it. And luckily, Amber was at the craft party too, with some dyeing experience, so she could instruct us on what to do. Thank you so much, Amber! We all had fun with it. We learned that we probably had too much dye per skein, because it all blended together more than staying separate, but the end results turned out pretty neat anyway! I can’t wait to knit them up and see what happens. It will be more exciting than self-striping yarn. ;)

Looks like you guys did a great job! Lauren and I are planning a day to do that as well! I must remember the bottle! That is a great idea…Can’t wait to see it knit up!
Maybe I missed it – what sock yarn did you use for your Kool Aid dyeing?
Very inspiring, I can’t wait to see the completed socks!
Found your blog today by way of JenLa. I was wondering if I could get more information on the project you are working on called Fletcher. That is my husband’s name, and I wanna know what it is.
