An end to the shawl madness?

So. The wedding is next Saturday. Currently, the weather channel is predicting 83 degrees, and pop-up thunderstorms for that day.

Whether it rains or not, it’s guaranteed to be very humid.

Unless the forecast changes to mid-70s and no humidity, I think it’s going to be too hot to wear the black dress I was planning to wear (it requires a “suck in all the fat and hide it” bodysuit, and hose), and definitely too hot to wear a shawl to boot!

I have another dress that I wear sandals with (thus no hose required). But it’s pastel-colored, so no black shawl needed. Or I may go shopping and see if there’s anything else out there.

I think I’ve decided to give Madli’s Shawl a break and work on some of the other projects that have been on hold since I started it. I will finish it by the next wedding (November 13…I will definitely be wearing my black dress to it), so it won’t be languishing for long.

Well, that’s a relief! It’s always sad when deadlines make the process not fun anymore. Glad to hear you’re getting a reprieve!

I love your shawl! I’ve been working on one myself :). Yours looks lovely so far! I’ll have to keep my eyes open on your progess.
