Red (orange) and black sock-in-progress

by Natalie November 18, 2009 Crafting

It’s coming along. I took a break from the Cthulhuclava to finish the heel. The more I knit it, the more I’m loving this yarn. Mom likes it too. Luckily I should have enough to knit 2 pairs out of it!

Look! It’s a green…

by Natalie November 15, 2009 Crafting

something-or-other. Doesn’t look like much of anything yet! Don’t worry Seth, the blue part is just there temporarily, it’ll be removed when the tentacles are added. The construction definitely makes this an interesting knit.

Challenge

by Natalie November 11, 2009 Crafting

Madalyn, I challenge you! You posted about your overflowing stash, and then you went and bought MORE yarn for it. I commented that maybe you have more yarn than me now (highly unlikely, but you never know how much you’ve crammed into those bins!). So I challenge you to a stash count. Some time by [...]

Cruising on the sock. I’m halfway through the heel on #1. I finished the neck of the Cthulhuclava, on to the wacky world of the head!

Future knitting

by Natalie November 5, 2009 Crafting

by Natalie November 3, 2009 Crafting

So, it’s day 3 and I already didn’t know what to post about today! Poor planning on my part. I’ve been thinking about it all day and I decided that I need to start a pair of socks. I do have one pair already in progress. Sort of. That’s the Vintage socks, and I’m working [...]

Happy Halloween!

by Natalie November 1, 2009 Crafting

Both girls wore handmade costumes this year. Emily’s was the witch costume my mom made for me back when I was 6! She also wore this 2 years ago. Samantha decided she wanted to be a cookie this year. So I had to come up with a cookie costume! Got some light brown fleece, and [...]

A baby boy sweater, for a baby girl

by Natalie October 15, 2009 Crafting

This is the Baby Boy 5-hour Sweater, but made for a baby girl! I think it’s plenty girly. This probably works out to about a 3 to 6-month size using the needles and yarn I used. Maybe even up to a year, depending on the baby! It also didn’t take me 5 hours. It probably [...]
