Whew.

by Natalie November 21, 2009 Crafting

Busy day! My in-laws took the girls last night to spend the night with them, and weren’t bringing them home until after 3 today. The carpet cleaners came first thing this morning. They were quick though, out at 10:00 AM. I had the rest of the day to myself! I thought…”I could clean the playroom.” [...]

Red (orange) and black sock-in-progress

by Natalie November 18, 2009 Crafting

It’s coming along. I took a break from the Cthulhuclava to finish the heel. The more I knit it, the more I’m loving this yarn. Mom likes it too. Luckily I should have enough to knit 2 pairs out of it!

Look! It’s a green…

by Natalie November 15, 2009 Crafting

something-or-other. Doesn’t look like much of anything yet! Don’t worry Seth, the blue part is just there temporarily, it’ll be removed when the tentacles are added. The construction definitely makes this an interesting knit.

Challenge

by Natalie November 11, 2009 Crafting

by Natalie November 5, 2009 Crafting

I thought maybe socks (since that’s what I knit the most of anymore). Nope. He wants this. Available for purchase through Ravelry. We picked out yarn. I [...]

More orange than meets the eye

by Natalie November 4, 2009 Crafting

There’s more orange in this yarn than I thought. But I like it! The Patons Kroy is just ever-so-slightly thicker than some other sock yarns I’ve used. So these socks are going to come out cushier and denser. Perfect! I surprised myself at how much I knit last night. About 3 inches! It goes so [...]

Socks

by Natalie November 3, 2009 Crafting

So, it’s day 3 and I already didn’t know what to post about today! Poor planning on my part. I’ve been thinking about it all day and I decided that I need to start a pair of socks. I do have one pair already in progress. Sort of. That’s the Vintage socks, and I’m working [...]
